IHEEM Yorkshire Branch and IMechECPD Technical Seminar - 16th March 2011 @ 6pm - Sovereign Lecture Theatre, Bradford Royal Infirmary
The first presentation, by Dr Catherine Noakes, will give an overview of the problem of hospital acquired infection and airborne transmission routes, and discusses how engineering approaches such as ventilation design and disinfection devices can play a key role in tackling infection.
The second presentation, given by Dr Carl Gilkeson and Dr Miller Camargo-Valero, will focus on a specific research projectthat aims to characterise the airflows and airborne infection risksin multi-bed spaces.
