Jackie has 23 years NHS experience, initially within estates & facilities management but over the last ten years gained experience, skills and knowledge in property/space management.

Jackie joined West Herts Hospitals NHS Trust in April 2017 as Development and Property Manager, primarily responsible for space management. She is also a key member of the Strategic Development Team, providing environment input to the following projects:

  • Delivery of future acute services model for West Herts (value £300M+)
  • Watford Health Campus (value £100M+) {redevelopment of the Watford Hospital site}
  • Redevelopment of the Hemel Hempstead Hospital site (value circa £30M)
  • Development of WHHT sites under the Interim Estates Strategy (value circa £50M)

Previously worked at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for two years and before that Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust (and Buckinghamshire PCT) for 21 years. Over the years, she has seen demands for space growing, across estates which are already stretched, with property ranging from new PFI to Victorian buildings, mainly no longer fit for purpose. Making best use of the estate whilst meeting everyone’s needs is a huge challenge.

Jackie is an active member of my local Methodist Church’s Building Committee.

In order to keep a work-life balance, Jackie enjoys the gym, swimming, jogging, reading, baking, DIY (currently refurbishing a Victorian house), cinema, theatre, eating out, music and dance, and has recently started learning the ukulele!
