Richard Knight CEng MCIBSE FIHEEM

Richard Knight is a highly knowledgeable specialist in healthcare ventilation with over 30 years’ experience in healthcare estates management, mostly from within Trust.

Richard developed and delivers Eastwood Park’s Specialist Healthcare Ventilation training and a number of other courses, a member of the CEN TC 156 committee writing the new European healthcare ventilation standard.

He is also an Authorising Engineer and a founding member and chair of the CIBSE healthcare group past Chair and past Chair and Hon Secretary of CIBSE South West Region. Also, similar interests in Healthcare Electrical Systems incl Medical Locations, Water Systems, etc.

Richard is a regular contributor and speaker at numerous technical and specialist seminars/evening meetings for many engineering institutions, also an Engineering Council interviewer.

 

David Williams MIHEEM MIET

David Williams is very knowledgeable and experienced in the field of HVAC Mechanical services.

He has over 30 years’ experience of Commissioning critical care air and water systems within the healthcare sector to all the relevant standards (CIBSE, BSRIA, HTM’s, and HBN’s). David is also a member of the "Healthcare Infection Society".

David is the Owner and Managing director of Approved Air Ltd which he set up in 1998 (An independent Validation and Verification company with core Skills in HVAC Commissioning).

He feels the NHS is not being provided with the optimal level of works and now advises Trusts to remove commissioning and validation from the M&E package, ensuring contractors are held to account and schemes are improved, delivering compliant projects that the Trust had paid for, which is a key and successful change.

 

Graham P. Taylor BSc, PGDip, FIHEEM, MIET, MWMSoc

Graham Taylor 

Graham has spent a lifetime working in healthcare engineering, as an Estates Officer, Consultant Engineer, and Authorising Engineer. 

He is currently a Partner at GPT Consult LLP.

His career started over 40-years ago in Sheffield at the Trent Regional Health Authority, and Northern General Hospital and he has since been involved with an uncountable number of healthcare projects both in the UK and overseas, where he has acquired considerable expertise in all aspects and disciplines of healthcare engineering.

He is an Authorising Engineering for ventilation and pressure systems and currently works for many Trusts throughout England. In addition, he specialises in assisting Trust's in the planning, design management, and delivery of capital projects particularly relating to critical ventilation systems and operating theatres in which he has a particular interest and expertise.

Graham also undertakes Expert Witness and Claims work on behalf of Trusts and other healthcare providers.
