What is IHEEM?

• A professional development not-for-profit members organisation for building professional careers
• Formed in 1943 IHEEM was previously known as the Institute of Hospital Engineering until 1966
• Registered Company (895080) and a registered Charity (257133)
• Governed and managed by an elected Council who are all Trustees of the Institute and hold full responsibility for the conduct of the business and affairs of the Institute.
• Employs seven administration staff to carry out the decisions of the Council. 
• A registration provider for professional engineers: Engineering Technician, Incorporated Engineer and Chartered Engineer under a license agreement from the Engineering Council.
• Education and training provider through technical seminars, the annual conference and a monthly technical journal (Health Estate Journal).
