Fellow
Fellows are those who meet the following requirements:

For non-engineers, hold an academic/professional qualification awarded by a non-engineering professional body, which is acceptable to Council. |
| • |
For engineers are already registered with the EC (UK) as a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer OR successfully complete a Professional Review for registration as a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer via an approved rate to registration in SARTOR or UK SPEC. |
| • |
Have not less than five years superior responsibility and experience in healthcare engineering, or estate management preceded by at least two years practical training. |
Member
Members are those who meet the following requirements:

For non-engineers, hold an academic/professional qualification
awarded by a non-engineering professional body, which
is acceptable to Council. |

For engineers, are already registered with the EC (UK)
as a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer OR successfully
complete a Professional Review for registration as a Chartered
or Incorporated Engineer via an approved route to registration
in SARTOR or UK SPEC. |

Have not less than two years experience with an adequate
degree of responsibility in engineering or estate management,
preceded by at least two years practical training. Applicants
must be currently working, or have worked, in healthcare
engineering or estate management. |
Associate Member
Applicants for election as an Associate Member must meet the
following requirements:

Hold an academic qualification acceptable to Council. |
| • |
Hold an academic qualification which meets the requirements
of the EC(UK) for registration as an Engineering Technician
via an approved route to registration in SARTOR or UK
SPEC, or one which in the opinion of Council is of a comparable
academic level. |
| • |
Have not less than two years experience in engineering
or estate services preceded by at least two years practical
training. Applicants must be currently working, or have
worked, in healthcare engineering or estate services and
be involved with the application of proven techniques
and procedures associated with practical engineering problems.
To include a measure of supervisory and technical responsibility
and competence to exercise skills within defined fields
of technology. |
Graduate

A person studying to meet, or has met but lacks the relevant experience, engineering or other related professional qualifications which would allow election as a full Member. |
