National Science Week 12th-21st March 2010

Posted on 10 February 2010

National Science and Engineering Week (NSEW) is a ten day programme of science, engineering and technology events and activities across the UK aimed at people of all ages. Coordinated by the British Science Association, in partnership with EngineeringUK and with funding from The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, NSEW aims to inspire and engage people from all walks of life with science, engineering and technology. In 2009, over 1.4 million people took part in 3,500 events throughout the UK.

In 2010 NSEW runs from 12th – 21th March and the theme will be ‘Earth’. This theme is designed to coincide with International Year of Biodiversity. We would like to encourage people to organise events and activities to help us celebrate this during NSEW 2010.   The theme of your activities could be anything from Earth's amazing phenomenon to engineering solutions to climate change.
