IWFM South Region CPD Event – Legionella Control and Water Hygiene

Wednesday 27th March 2019 –1730 for 1800

Committee Room 3 - Chichester County Hall, West St, Chichester PO19 1RQ

Evolution Water Services has put together a CPD recognised training programme which will focus on Legionnaires Disease both from a medical perspective, but also from a legal compliance perspective, where it comes from, how we catch the disease, how it enters our buildings, what conditions we need to try and avoid to minimise the proliferation of the bacteria, what the legal implications are and how to interpret the guidance.

This event will address the latest updates in the world of Legionella Control and water hygiene, including updates to British Standards, anticipated future updates for ACoP L8 and associated guidance.  It will also cover updated guidance for courts on administering fines and actions and the inherent and residual risk in risk assessments.  It will also include information about written schemes and what they should contain and why this is important.

Colin Shelkleton, our speaker will also go over current and future guidance/legislation and “thinking” in water hygiene control, plus will go over the basics of what need to be done and future direction of the industry.

There will be a Q&A session afterwards, so be sure to bring your questions with you.

We have allowed for a maximum of 50 attendees for this rare opportunity to gain knowledge and boost your CPD by attending this event.

This evening is open to all so please bring a colleague with you and non BIFM members are also welcome.

We would like to thank Mike O’Horan, West Sussex County Council for hosting this event and providing refreshments and our speakers for sharing their knowledge and experience.
