The presentation will concentrate on a number of key areas with an emphasis on hospital wards. An overview of the lighting requirements with worked solutions is covered, as well as energy efficiency and the design energy efficiency rating (DEER) metric.

Richard Caple has been with Thorlux Lighting for over fourteen years and is currently their Lighting Applications Manager. Having started as a Trainee Lighting Design Engineer Richard has built up first-hand experience of luminaires and their application.

He has studied lighting and design through the various industry lighting courses culminating in his MSc in Light and Lighting in 2012.

As well as managing the Lighting Design departments he is also involved in the design, development and marketing of luminaires. Richard is also Society of Light and Lighting (SLL) Vice President.
