GDPR – Legitimate interest

IHEEM exists primarily as a membership organisation to provide technical and professional training and support to its members. Members subscribe to the institute on an annual basis. They are assigned a branch membership based on their geographical location. Branches hold regular meetings for professional  (CPD) networking purposes and technical presentations. They are provided free of charge to members. In addition  IHEEM centrally  organise CPD seminars and events for members. In addition a journal (Health Estate Journal) is published monthly for members benefit.

Under the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) legitimate interest provision we consider that paid up members have subscribed to receive communication about regional and national events organised by IHEEM and also the monthly publication Health Estate Journal. Members have the opportunity to update their communication preferences or unsubscribe via the IHEEM website (www.iheem.org.uk) and also via a prompt on annual subscription notifications. In addition each email or postal correspondence will include links and details to ‘preference’ or ‘unsubscribe’ options.

  • Membership renewals
  • HEJ Journal (postal copy only)
  • Receipts for any purchases you make
  • Confirmation of any bookings you have, or your organisation have, made on your behalf
  • AGM notice and other statutory communications
  • e-mails from the Institute - relating to the core business of the Institute as a professional development organisation
  • e-newsletter - promoting IHEEM actvities and those of selected partner organisations
 
  • Receipts for any purchases you make
  • Confirmation of any bookings you have, or your organisation have, made on your behalf

We’d like to keep in touch to let you know about our future events and conferences at national and local level, and everything that is going on at IHEEM, so keep in touch with us in other ways please:

  • Select "Email Consent" to receive our monthly e-newsletter and other e-mail communications from IHEEM.
  • Select "Postal Address Consent" to be kept in touch by periodic postal communications.
  • Select "3rd Party Consent" to allow your data to be sent to selected 3rd party organisations, for example the organisers of Healthcare Estates.
