Overview
- To assist the Hospital Estates Department in the provision of an efficient and cost-effective system of maintenance,
including the maintenance of the building fabric internally and externally. - Decoration of small construction works and refurbishments.
- All in accordance with current legislation, standards, guidance and good working practices

Formal Qualifications, education & training required
- Recognised trade training or NVQ
- Recognised building trade apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ
Essential skills and competencies
- Minimum 5 years trade experience
- Internal decorative painting of walls and ceilings
- Painting of external frames, cills and fascia’s, etc.
- Washing down of walls and ceilings
- Wallpaper stripping and hanging
- Applying industrial coatings to machinery.
- Working in a health care environment.
Desirable skills and competencies
- Health and Safety at Work Act
- Work as a team member sharing tasks and duties
- Work on own initiative independently
Essential experience
- Minimum 5 years trade experience
- Internal decorative painting of walls and ceilings
