Job Title: Multi-skilled Tradesperson
Overview
- Undertakes both planned and reactive duties in either Electrical, Mechanical, Energy, and Building (both internal & external) across the Trust’s built environment.
- To assist the Hospital Estates Department in the provision of an efficient and cost-effective system of maintenance, including the maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and building services, building fabric, and associated equipment, internally and externally.
- All in accordance with current legislation, standards, guidance, and good working practices.

Formal Qualifications, education & training required
Ideally holds an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent CGLI advanced craft certificate qualification) within Electrical, Mechanical, Energy, and Building.

- Ideally holds an NVQ Level 3 within an electrical (craft) discipline.
- A fully trained time served Craftsperson who followed a recognised electrical apprenticeship, i.e., CITB, EITB or equivalent.
- City and Guilds course pass level 2-3 in any relevant production and maintenance engineering discipline.
- 2050, 2140, 2550 or 596, current IEE wiring regulations (BS 7671)
Essential skills and competencies
- Ability to carry out fault finding and rectify faults.
Test and inspection to Statutory Standards - Ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Must be able to communicate with people at all levels within the Trust and externally.
