Overview
Our one day City & Guilds accredited Disinfection of Hot and Cold Water Systems course has been designed to provide you with the legal, technical and practical information required to safely disinfect hot and cold water systems. Taught by industry professionals, throughout this course you will develop a thorough understanding of water system disinfection in accordance with technical documents: HSG274 Part 2, BS 8558 and PD855468. Upon completing this course, you will know how and which chemicals to safely disinfect water systems. This includes disinfection procedures using: sodium hypochlorite, hydrogen peroxide, as well as subsequent water sampling and chemical measurement.
Who is the course aimed at?
This Legionella disinfection course has been developed for those planning or currently involved with the disinfection of hot and cold water services within buildings using chlorine based compounds or silver stabilised hydrogen peroxide. Possessing a City & Guilds accredited Legionella disinfection certification will further expand your skillset and can open up a path towards becoming more involved with the technical side of Legionella and water related duties. Additionally, our City & Guild accredited course is widely recognised across the UK, providing formal recognition of your skills and knowledge.
