Dale Power Solutions offers work experience placements for students aged 18 or under during school and college summer holidays. These placements are arranged directly through schools or colleges and provide an excellent introduction to a professional engineering and manufacturing environment.

During a placement, students gain valuable insight into day-to-day working life, supported by clear guidance and supervision throughout their time with us. Work experience students may have the opportunity to observe or get involved in a range of activities, including factory production areas, engineering computer modelling and design, and other areas of the business where possible.

Availability for work experience is limited, but we aim to accommodate as many applicants as we can. These placements are designed to help young people build confidence, develop workplace skills, and explore potential future career paths.

As an apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience across different areas of the business, allowing you to build practical skills while developing a strong understanding of how the organisation operates as a whole. Apprentices benefit from rotational placements that broaden knowledge, encourage skill development, and help individuals identify the areas where they thrive most.

Alongside on-the-job learning, apprentices work towards industry-recognised qualifications delivered in partnership with Scarborough TEC. We offer apprenticeship programmes at multiple levels, from Level 3 qualifications (equivalent to A-Levels), through Higher National Certificates and Diplomas, right up to degree-level apprenticeships that allow you to earn a university degree while working.

With a proud history of apprenticeships, many of our long-serving colleagues began their careers at Dale Power Solutions. While engineering remains the most popular pathway, we also offer apprenticeship opportunities across a range of professional functions, including finance, business, IT, HR, and marketing.
