Electrical Distribution Solutions (EDS) is a privately owned company based in Wolverhampton, UK. With its headquarters and works located within convenient access to the M6 motorway giving a direct route both North and South of the UK.

High & Low Voltage – New Installations

EDS provides a “Turn-Key” solution to clients proposing new installations or extensions to installations. From the pre-planning stage, design, installation, and commissioning.

Services include: –
Determination of load characteristics and requirements.
Design of substation foundations & buildings.
Earthing studies.
Liaison & negotiations with Distribution Network Operators Companies.
Production of detailed design & specification of equipment, its protection & distribution layout.

High & Low Voltage – Existing Installations

EDS undertakes maintenance and servicing on a term contract or a one-off based. Maintaining and servicing all manufactures switchgear, transformer, protection & low voltage switchboards.

Low Voltage Air Circuit Breaker Retrofit Solutions.

With the ever, increasing pressure being exerted on financial budgets, retrofitting is an innovative technically sound, cost-effective solution to manage obsolescence associated with historic equipment. This solution extends the life of low voltage switchboards by another 20 plus years. The EDS retrofit solutions are unique, in that installation can, in most cases be achieved without bus bar isolation.

EDS will undertake the design of a retrofit circuit breaker for any air circuit breaker provided the required numbers make it commercially viable.

Obsolete Equipment Spares – EDS carry a considerable stock of spares for: –
ABB, Dorman Smith, Ellison, GEC, Long & Crawford, Merlin Gerin, Mitsubishi, Square D, Terasaki.
EDS also carries a stock of pre-owned switchgear, transformers, and LV switchboards.

Energy.

The Energy management solution includes the following: –

Full Mains Analysis – survey and report showing consumption levels and trends over a pre-determined timescale. Provision of detailed reports and site, specific recommendations.

Power Factor Correction – design, fabricate, and install of Power factor correction system.
Survey and repair existing systems.

Drives and Motor Controls – surveys.
Design and installation of drives and motor controls, ranging from individual drives to complete site installations.

Bespoke Systems – Design and installation of user-specific, single, or multi-site energy management systems. Enabling full control and monitoring of heating, lighting, ventilation, air conditioning, water gas consumption, with remote monitoring via e-mail or SMS.
