Varming Consulting Engineers is one of Ireland’s leading dedicated mechanical & electrical building services consultancy firms serving both the public and private sectors. The Dublin Varming office was opened in 1946 by our founder Jorgan Varming, a Danish engineer.

Since commencing practice in Ireland over 75 years ago, we have been at the forefront of the pursuit of excellence and innovation in the design of mechanical and electrical building services. Over the years we have been involved in many of the iconic buildings in Ireland, several of which have been recognized with construction excellence awards.

Varming Consulting Engineers design and monitor the installation of Sustainable, Energy Efficient  and resilient Building Services in new build and refurbishment projects. Appointments range across all sectors including acute and non acute Healthcare, Commercial, Retail & leisure, Government, Education, Industrial and Manufacturing.

Varming undertakes all Building Services installations including the development and production of material specifications and contract documents for all types of contracts and tendering procedures, arising from an informed innovative approach to all aspects of design solutions, cost control and full collaboration with other disciplines involved in any appointed design team. Constant consideration is also given to economic, environmental, quality of life, population growth as well as energy and resource consumption.

Varming produce projects according to a quality control methodology based on our integrated Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) Management System which incorporates our certified IS EN 14001 (Environmental Management) and 18001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management) systems.
