The business has secured a place on every generation of the framework since its launch in 2006. Arcadis forms part of the Kier Supply Chain Design Team, with the win building on what it says is its ‘exceptional healthcare track record which spans 40 years’, having delivered 1800 projects in the UK – ‘including many firsts’ – and worked for 65 per cent of NHS Trusts. During this time, it has had nominations for over 200+ healthcare design awards.
The NHS Building for Wales Framework Lots 1 and 2 are the NHS Wales’ construction procurement and delivery frameworks for major capital projects with construction costs of over £7 million. Arcadis says it has ‘played a pivotal role in healthcare development in Wales’. Acting as ‘a trusted and expert partner’ to contractors including Kier Construction and BAM Construction and their multidisciplinary teams, over the past 18 years it has worked closely with 90 per cent of Welsh Health Boards and Trusts to design £0.5bn of healthcare infrastructure via the framework comprising 23 capital projects.
