Reinsberg says the acquisition is a key part of its strategy to build a strong group of independent European medical manufacturers, ‘leveraging their capabilities to achieve economies of scale in the global consolidation of the medical industry’. Brandon Medical is a long-established UK manufacturer and designer of advanced technological solutions for operating theatres, critical care, and primary care, with over 70 years’ healthcare sector experience and expertise. The Leeds-headquartered company says its focus on continuous investment in innovation, research, and development, enables it to ‘respond flexibly to dynamically changing market needs, and ensure the efficiency of healthcare systems’. Its product portfolio includes surgical lights and control panels, with the business ‘characterised by a strong focus on personal customer service and ethical values’.

Reinsberg Group’s key brands include ALVO Medical, a Polish manufacturer of hospital modular building systems, OR integration systems, and medical furniture; Famed Zywiec – a Polish medical equipment manufacturer with a particular focus on operating tables and hospital beds, and medifa – a German manufacturer of operating theatre tables and lights, modular hospital room solutions, and specialist theatre equipment. Reinsberg Group companies have combined annual sales of €90 million (£74.8 m).
