Job Title: Health and Safety Advisor

Overview
Provide Health and safety advice trust-wide. To facilitate Health and Safety training Trust-wide. Conduct workplace assessments. Compile statistics from the Trust safeguarding system, from accidents and incidents. The reporting of all RIDDOR incidents to the HSE. To keep a record of all ligature risk assessments. Liaise with other departments Trust-wide. Conduct site visits to audit workplace assessments. Conduct accident investigations. Attend divisional health and safety meetings. Prepare written reports and policies. Liaise with external organisations. Have a full understanding of Trust administrative processes.

Formal Qualifications, education & training required
- NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent level 3 qualification
Or willing to work to gain this level. - NEBOSH fire safety and risk management Certificate
- Qualification in adult training. (PTLLS) or working towards.
- Qualified to teach manual handling or working towards.
Hold at least membership to at least one relevant professional body.

- Have a basic knowledge and understanding of fire safety.
- Ability to communicate effectively about complex matters.
- Ability to maintain an organised working environment
