Part-funded by Innovate UK, the KTP scheme ‘brings together forward-thinking businesses and expert academics to tackle strategic innovation challenges to deliver economic, societal, or environmental outcomes’. Support and leadership are provided through the university’s School of Engineering Faculty, while the student undertakes the day-to-day job with the business.
In his new full-time two-year role at Door Group in Lisburn, Cormac Hardy will be involved in a real R&D project hoped to generate future products, revenue, and profit for the business.
