Northern Ireland Conference, Exhibition & Gala Dinner 2026
The IHEEM Northern Ireland Conference brings together leaders, innovators, and specialists from across the healthcare estates and engineering community to explore this year’s theme: Data & Intelligence: Driving Smarter, Safer Healthcare. As the healthcare system continues to evolve, the intelligent use of data—supported by emerging technologies, digital integration, and artificial intelligence—has become central to transforming the performance, resilience, and sustainability of our built healthcare environment.
This year’s programme highlights how advanced analytics, digital twins, AI‑enabled decision support, and real‑time building intelligence are reshaping the way we design, operate, and maintain healthcare facilities. Through keynote presentations and practical case studies delegates will gain insights into how data can unlock efficiencies, strengthen compliance, improve patient outcomes, and support a more sustainable future for health and social care.
The conference also celebrates the exceptional talent and commitment across our sector through the first IHEEM NI Annual Awards, recognising those who demonstrate excellence, innovation, and leadership. Awards will be presented for:
- Design Team of the Year – honouring outstanding collaborative design that enhances healthcare environments.
- Contractor of the Year – recognising exceptional project delivery, quality, and partnership in Healthcare setting
- Trainee of the Year – celebrating emerging talent and future leaders of the profession.
- Estates Team of the Year – acknowledging an individual or team whose impact has been truly transformative.
- Supply Chain Provider of the Year – rewarding excellence in service, reliability, and sector support.
Together, the conference and awards reflect the forward‑thinking spirit of the estates and engineering community and reaffirm Northern Ireland’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in healthcare infrastructure.
We are delighted to welcome Glenn Irwin, Pete Snodden and Paddy Raff to this year’s Awards Dinner.
Glenn Irwin is one of the standout names in modern motorcycle racing, competing at the top level in both the British Superbike Championship (BSB) and the North West 200 (NW200). A record 11 time NW200 superbike winner and consistent BSB title contender, Irwin is known for his fearless racecraft, technical precision, and ability to deliver big performances when it matters most. In 2023, he narrowly missed the BSB title by just half a point. For the current season, Glenn rides a Ducati with Nitrous Competitions Racing, bringing his proven speed and experience to the team as they push for major results on both short circuits and the roads. His combination of professionalism, fan-friendly personality, and on‑track aggression has made him one of the most popular and respected riders in the paddock.

Pete Snodden is one of Northern Ireland’s most recognisable broadcasters, known for leading Cool FM’s breakfast show for almost twenty years. With extensive live event experience — from opening for President Barack Obama to broadcasting from the MTV EMAs and Euro 2016 — Pete is a seasoned host for awards, business events and Q&As. He also speaks passionately on confidence building and self‑development.

Belfast-born comedian Paddy Raff has become one of Northern Ireland’s standout comedy talents, rising from open‑mic newcomer in 2018 to selling out a record‑breaking five-night arena run just two years later. His sharp wit and hugely popular online characters earned him more than 250,000 followers and viral status during lockdown, leading The Irish Times to dub him “the comedy star of the Coronavirus Lockdown.”
