IFHE (International Federation of Healthcare Engineers) is urgently looking for volunteers, architects, and engineers to help the WHO rebuild emergency hospitals worldwide.
The IFHE has had a partnership with the WHO (the World Health Organisation) for years and together we have been working since the beginning of the COVID pandemic to rebuild emergency hospitals in countries worldwide that are themselves unable to bring together the necessary knowledge.
In the past year, we have already completed dozens of projects in South America, Africa, and India with members of IFHE who volunteered their time to help and made it possible for people who became infected with COVID-19 could be treated in those countries.
The WHO has now asked IFHE for our help again for more than 12 projects in Mozambique due to a tornado that has wiped out all available healthcare premises and needs to be rebuilt as soon as possible.
We are looking for architects and engineers who can help us produce CAD drawings and create technical reports. Because we are forced to act quickly, we link the new teams to an existing team so that you can easily integrate into the working method that the WHO prefers.
If would like to participate in this opportunity and you also think you can help these people in their time of need, please contact Douwe Kiestra by email: d.kiestra@xs4all.nl.
We will then include you in the list of volunteers and link you to a permanent team with whom you will work.
We look forward to working with you to help these people,
Douwe Kiestra
