Bio:
Ian Smith has some 30 years of experience in the delivery of water management consultancy services. Experience includes provision of on-going Authorising Engineer (Water) services, input to water safety groups, investigations, and auditing.
Project support to new builds and refurbishments through the RIBA stages and commissioning, including input to Project Water Safety Groups, new builds, NICU, ICU and ITU wards, mental health wards and other settings.
In additional to being a Fellow of IHEEM Ian is Chartered Chemist and member of the Water Management Society, participating in working groups and technical platforms to maintain current knowledge on regulations, new products and best practice.
Ian has a collaborative approach working in partnership with Trust Water Safety Groups and others to not just identify any areas of non-compliance but to propose practical solutions to improve patient and user safety.
