Bio:
Healthcare Engineering Services Limited is based in South Hertfordshire and specialises in the provision of independent Authorising Engineer and consultancy services, specifically for medical gas pipeline systems, in accordance with the requirements of HTM02-01, through the company sole director – Malcolm Thompson.
I am currently deputising for the Principal Engineer NHSE & I for the oxygen prioritisation programme during the Covid-19 pandemic.
A medical gas pipeline systems consultant and Authorising Engineer (MGPS) with a consistent record of achievement in the medical gas pipeline system industry with over 40 years’ experience. An IHEEM registered AE(MGPS), Incorporated Engineer and member of BSI committee CH121-6, ISO 7396-1 standards for medical gas pipeline systems, specialising in compliance to HTM02-01.
I am a member of or participate in the following groups or organisations:
• Member of IHEEM (Member 11900)
• BSI committee member for CH/121/06 medical gas supply systems and currently involved in the working group to establish a standard for medical gas manifold systems.
• IHEEM AE(MGPS) Working Group
• IHEEM Technical Platform
• Medical Gas Association
In addition I recently acted as an medical gas ‘Expert Witness’ in an extensive arbitration process.
