Discipline: Decontamination
Bio:
Mark is an experienced medical device decontamination professional and Authorising Engineer (Decontamination). He is one of the few AE(D)s who has experience directly managing sterile service and endoscopy departments. Experienced in auditing to ISO 13485.
Mark is an active trainer at Eastwood Park delivering courses on washer disinfector and sterilizer testing, manager’s courses and others, and involved with the BSc programme and assessment of new AE(D)s.
Trained as Competent Person in Medical Gas and Ventilation and as Responsible Person Water.
Originally qualified in BSc Microbiology, then employed and mentored by an AE(D) to qualify and register as an AE(D) himself over 10 years ago.
