In the event of a power outage, a UPS system provides a reliable power source to critical building systems such as evacuation lifts and emergency lighting, plus those for smoke extraction and fire suppression, security and access, building management, alarms, and controls. In this presentation, Alex will discuss the various standards, regulations, and guidelines, related to the installation and maintenance of such UPS systems, how the type of load may affect the system, and additional considerations such as fault clearance.”
