Services transferred this spring from Great Western Hospitals Foundation Trust, with NHS Property Services placing a strong focus on supporting the local workforce through the change.
Across all ten sites, NHS Property Services worked closely with local teams to make sure colleagues had the right uniforms, technology, and support from day one, while keeping healthcare services running without interruption for patients.
The move follows a year of planning and collaboration with local NHS partners to ensure continuity of service and long term value for money. The £4.3m per year contract covers Soft Facilities Management services across the region.
The ten sites now supported by NHS Property Services are Chippenham, Savernake, Warminster, Trowbridge, Amesbury, Calne, Salisbury, Wilton, Devizes, and Melksham.
Richard Mackay, managing director for the South Region at NHS Property Services, said: “These colleagues are a vital part of their local hospitals and communities. Our priority has been to recognise the experience they bring, welcome them properly and make sure they feel valued as part of NHS Property Services.”
