Dear colleagues,
It is recognised that the impact of COVID-19 on colleagues from a Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) background has been disproportionate. We are also aware that these groups may have specific concerns for us to address. We are looking for a number of individuals from the EFM community to take part in a roundtable discussion with Prerana Issar, Chief People Officer, NHS England and NHS Improvement. This will focus on understanding the particular impact on estates and facilities staff.
The first roundtable is scheduled to take place (via MS Teams) in the week commencing 18th January 2021. A key topic will be the uptake of vaccinations within our BAME workforce as this will be an important factor in reducing the disproportionate impacts we have seen in the past months.
