The Mansfield CDC was delivered with project management consultancy, quantity surveying, and CDM advisor support from construction consultancy Pulse Consult in collaboration with Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, contractor Kier, and supply chain partners including CPMG Architects and Hexa.
Annually, the facility is designed to enable thousands of patients to receive faster diagnoses, closer to home, delivering up to 100,000 tests each year
The CDC utilises a collaboration of both new infrastructure and the utilisation of existing estate elements. Enhanced sustainability was also a key consideration for the project, with solar PV installation and the establishment of a green roof, used as an innovative response to limited site footprint. The building is also fully electric.

This centre will play a critical role in improving access to diagnostics, reducing pressure on acute services and supporting earlier intervention for patients across Nottinghamshire. Being part of the first facility of its kind in the region is something we’re incredibly proud of, particularly as the NHS continues its shift towards more accessible, community-based care.”
