Overview

The FSTP has been in existence for over seven years during which it has led the way in healthcare specific guidance, including developing evidence based risk assessed protocols for maintaining fire compartmentation, fire dampers and fire doors. These guidance documents were referenced in HTM 05-03 part K “guidance on fire risk assessment in complex healthcare premises” published in 2024 ‘The healthcare organisation should have a protocol for the checking of PFP that follows the guidance in IHEEM’s ‘Fire safety technical platform (FSTP) guidance document No. 1 – Fire compartmentation’.
