Formally opened by the First Minister, the Parkhead Hub is the largest integrated health and social care facility in Scotland.
The £67 m development brings together services previously delivered across nine separate locations, providing primary care, community health, social care and support services in one modern and accessible building.
BAM delivered the Hub as principal contractor, working closely with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Glasgow City HSCP, designers and a network of specialist suppliers contributed to the construction, covering façade installation, building services, digital systems and specialist clinical fit-out.
The Parkhead Hub is NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s first Net-Zero-in-operation building. Its fabric-first design incorporates high-performance glazing, efficient heating and cooling systems, low-energy lighting and integrated digital controls, all supported by a building-management system that optimises performance.
The project generated £19.5 m of verified social value, creating new jobs, apprenticeships and accredited training opportunities and enabling investment in local community organisations. Public areas and meeting spaces were shaped with input from community groups throughout the development.

Since opening to service users in January, the Hub has received industry recognition. It has won several national and regional awards for design, sustainability and public-sector delivery, including UK Public Sector Project of the Year at the RICS Awards.
