The company is one of 14 contractors appointed to Lot 5, covering projects valued at £60m and above, and one of 15 contractors selected for Lot 4, covering projects valued between £30m and £60m.
The four-year framework has an estimated total value of around £5bn and is compliant with the Procurement Act 2023 and Procurement Regulations 2024. YPO is the centralised procurement authority, with Pagabo responsible for the framework’s design, delivery, and ongoing management.
The framework provides public sector organisations with a compliant route to market, supporting contractor appointments through direct award or competitive procurement. The framework covers new-build projects, extensions, remodelling, refurbishment, retrofit, specialist fit-out and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works, as well as associated civil engineering, landscaping and site infrastructure.
David Llewellyn, construction and infrastructure director at Pagabo, said: “The launch of the National Framework for Major Works 2026 marks the next chapter for one of our most established procurement routes, providing public sector organisations with access to a strong range of contractors with the expertise and capability to deliver major construction projects across the UK.
“The quality demonstrated throughout the procurement process reflects the strength of the suppliers appointed to the framework and their ability to work collaboratively to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients. Through the procurement support Pagabo provides, alongside greater opportunities for early contractor engagement and collaboration, we’re looking forward to building on the success of previous iterations and supporting the delivery of ambitious projects across the public sector.”
Simon Kydd, sector director, healthcare at Sir Robert McAlpine, said: “We’re delighted to have secured places on the two highest value lots of the Major Works Framework. It provides an important route for us to continue supporting public sector clients, particularly across healthcare, where early engagement and collaboration can make a real difference to the successful delivery of complex programmes.
“We look forward to bringing our experience and expertise to the framework and working collaboratively with clients and partners to deliver high-quality places that meet the needs of the communities they serve.”
