Abloy UK has launched a new door compliance webinar via its Academy to educate security consultants, installers, facilities managers, specifiers and anyone with responsibility for fire safety or access control within buildings on correct door specification and installation.
The session has been designed to help attendees to understand compliance by exploring key topics such as NCP 109 Issue 4, the different types of doors and their specific functions and the specification of both wired and wireless access control solutions.
It addresses important regulatory updates, including changes to approved Document B relating to fire safety, the withdrawal of BS 476 and the transition to BS EN 13501 for fire testing as well as the requirements of Regulation 28.
The webinar also looks at new legislation and requirements which have recently come to light including Martyn’s Law, the Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure Act (PSTI) and the Radio Equipment Directive Delegated Act. Attending the webinar will allow those who are responsible for safety and access control to be better prepared as changes start to be implemented.
As well as covering technical standards and legal requirements, the webinar provides practical examples of how compliance can be achieved in real-world applications, giving attendees insight into how to implement effective access control and fire safety measures.
