The project will enable Kingston Health Practice to relocate into the health centre, expanding from 8 to 10 clinical rooms and delivering over 13,000 additional primary care appointments each year. The move supports the shift towards preventative, community-based care in line with the NHS 10-Year Plan.
Community Health Partnerships (CHP), as NHS infrastructure experts, are working in partnership with Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB), Kingston Health Practice, Citycare (LIFTCo), Sewell Construction, and Sewell Advisory (project management) to support the project, which has reached financial close and is now in the next phase of delivery, with the remodelling expected to be finished in the autumn.
The remodelling of the Calvert Centre represents a significant step forward in enhancing primary care provision in Hull. This project is a key part of CHP’s ongoing work to improve LIFT healthcare facilities across the country, and underscores CHP’s commitment to investing in community health infrastructure, supporting the delivery of high-quality primary care services.
